Happy Birthday, Henry!

More sugar, please!

This is Henry helping himself to his second cupcake of the morning. Liz's quote was "It's his birthday and I'm not saying no to anything:)" Love that!

We spent Henry's actual birthday with a rowdy group of playgroup kiddos at Owen's Beach in Tacoma. We had a great time and the kids loved celebrating with cookies and cupcakes. Love you Henry!

Will, Henry and the Not-So-Merry-Go-Round

So we thought it was a genius idea when Tookie suggested we take the boys on the Merry-Go-Round in Long Beach to top off our fantastic weekend at the beach. They were unimpressed with the idea:) Will liked it until it started moving and Henry knew immediately that it was all a terrible idea. The adults kept smiling and laughing hoping to rub off on them which didn't work. Thanks Freemans and McDougalls for always hosting such fun, delicious, relaxing weekends away. We really appreciate it!

I know he'll kill me someday...

Some days are better than others!

This is the face of an opinionated one year old who has also learned to shake his head "no" when he doesn't want something. How sweet, huh! You gotta love a kid with personality!

Shake it like a polaroid picture...

Although he may never know what a polaroid picture is he sure loves to work these maracas that he got from Henry and Lucy for his birthday. He dances as if rhythm runs in the family:)

One-derful!

My Lulu and Bompa hosted the very best party I have ever been to for my first birthday. We had a bug theme and there were lots of friends there to celebrate. We had hot dogs and hamburgers, fruit, veggies, baked beans, chips and most importantly chocolate cupcakes with blue frosting! It was really special to have all of my friends and four of my great-grandparents there! I loved all my gifts but the best of all was that my future wife, Lucy McDougall, was born that morning (on my actual birthday!) Can't wait for next year!

How do you eat your Oreo?

I've had my first Oreo and have discovered that not only are they delicious but they are even better smeared all over my face, the walls, my clothes, etc. If you're ever in need of a friend for cookies...I am your guy!
