concentration face

This is Will concentrating on anything.
In these he happens to be lining up to hit a golf ball but he could be trying to snap his carseat buckle, coloring, playing with toys or shooting a basketball. I have a feeling I could be posting this again in 15 years because he will still be making this face. We'll see...

quack, quack

He won't talk but he sure can communicate with animals. Quack is his clear favorite today. Maybe we'll go and feed the ducks.

Digger

Will fell off the stairs this weekend right onto the cement. Luckily, his forehead caught him :)

Welcome Little Girl!

Hello to the newest member of the Mills clan. Anna Elizabeth Mills was born on Saturday to my cousins, Burt and Sarah. She is darling and her Grandparents couldn't be any happier to meet her. We love you Anna and are very happy to have you!

Happy 30th Birthday, Chris!

I'm so glad YOU're my dad!

Will is very lucky to have such a SUPER dad.

It has been my biggest joy watching them become a team.
Will has so many favorites when it comes to dad but a few are:
working in the yard (especially when the hose is involved)

playing games on the bed (Will yells "DADDY" and Chris races in to tickle him)

playing golf and going to the driving range

snoozin'

watching Husky games (this WILL be a favorite, Will)

reading books

shoulder rides

matching :)

going to the park

squeezin'

basketball and catch

hanging with Henry and John

lounging on the couch

play and play and play

Will's best moments are those shared with his dad and I can hardly wait to watch their relationship grow. I look forward to so many things but especially cheering on our little boy together. We are so proud and thankful to be your family and really appreciate our cheerleader. Thank you, Chris for being the type of father I could have only dreamed of for my little monkey. You're everything great I knew you'd be and much more.

Happy 30th Birthday! We love you..M & W.

gang, bunch, mob, collection, flock, bevy, cluster, clump, herd, crew, squad, tribe

There is no other way to describe it. We are way out numbered! At least we know how to contain them. Thanks for a fun day Hayden, Adelaide, Raleigh, Chandler, Henry and Lucy. We couldn't find a cooler group of friends anywhere.

New

New jeans, new shoes, new 'do & new toy. That's a good day in the life of a one year old (or at least his mom who gets to hang out with a hip, happy kid)!

Here comes the bride...

Swanny and Lindsey got hitched this weekend! What a fun, beautiful send off into their new life together. We are so confident in their decision to marry each other and feel lucky to know that we will get to walk this life with them. We couldn't have pick'em better if we tried. Here's to the two of them and the fun they'll have. They have so much to look forward to...

The MOST thoughtful gift

My friend Liz's dad, Mike, gave me the most beautiful and thoughtful present today. The back story is that Henry (Liz's son, Mike's grandson and Will's favorite friend) has called Will "Baby O" since he was tiny. We think it is because that is what came out when he tried to say baby Will. He might be able to say Will now but he is forever Baby O. Liz told me when we got home from our trip that her dad made me something. She said when she first saw it she didn't understand what it was. I knew exactly what it was the instant I saw it. And boy did I cry. Can you tell what it is?

"Baby O"

Mike said that he was walking in Nordstrom when he saw a giant painting just like this one and that the idea just came to him. Now that is a real artist. From now on when people ask me what I would grab on my way out the door in a fire this is at the top of my list. Thank you, Mike for such a treasure! We adore you and your family!

Yogurt and blueberries are better when you feed yourself

Baby having fun? Check. Baby learning? Check. Baby actually getting food into mouth? Sort of check. Mom next to baby dying that he is making SUCH a mess? Check! Why do kids have to learn how to eat with utensils? Cavemen were on to something. It's the extra cleanup that I dread. Don't worry, I won't let him do it at your house:) I'm learning to let it go. Wish me luck.

The Schryver Family Reunion

The Schryvers (Tutu, Uncle Jim and Aunt Sally)
The Whole Gang
The DIVA and her grandkids

Henry is Hilarious!

Love my Bompa! Poster boy for the plum farmers of America

Will LOVES Henry and Sophie. They were champions with him
the whole trip. He is very lucky to have such cool cousins!

Yoga on the lawn

We spent last week with the Schryver clan. We went to Sunriver and had a blast playing, going on coffee walks, hanging with the local horses, bowling, biking, go-karting, swimming, doing yoga on the lawn and eating, eating, eating. Will had the time of his life and loved all the attention. We are lucky to have a pretty cool family!
