Woodland Park Zoo

We hit up the Woodland Park Zoo with the Bruchs
and Williams on Saturday.
If you didn't already know it was opening day for the Dawgs.
Chris was so excited we had to distract him all day
so he wouldn't pace at home and drive Will and I nuts.
(He had already been awake since 4 am because he
couldn't sleep through his excitement.)
We tried to walk Charlie out but it didn't work.
The triplet's stroller popped a tire and
we made it through the entire zoo with just 2
single strollers for 5 kiddos.
We carried, held hands, gave piggy back rides, etc.
and everyone had a great time.
All the kids were especially well behaved.
We had a picnic lunch and then packed up to head home.
On another note...
It has been a real treat for me having a
few days off with Chris and Will.
Just the 3 of us.
I am looking forward to meeting our new little dude
but I think we are all feeling that a lot is going to change for
our little family.
It's funny that you feel sad for your first kiddo because you
know their perfect little existence is about to get rocked
but you also know you are only having another baby
so that they aren't an only child.
I hope Will knows how much we adore him and
what makes us excited for another baby is that we think of all
the magic he has brought to our everyday life.
There are challenges everyday but one sweet "love you mama"
or "want to hold you mama" squeeze makes up for
infinite sassy, temper tantrums.
The good outweighs the bad every minute (well, at least every hour:)
We are very, very lucky parents.

Love this post - brought me to tears. The VERY best gift you can give your child is a sibling. Can't wait to meet him and see big brother in action. xo

And the best surprise is that you never thought you could love a 2nd baby as much as your first until you hold them for the first time. Crazy! Very sweet post Malia...good luck evicting your little guy...hopefully soon! Katy
